The Pretenders come to Cornbury with material from their new album
'Loose Screw' together with their classic hits like Brass in
Pocket, Don't Get Me Wrong, Message of Love and I
Got You Babe. Chrissie Hynde is one of the great rock voices of all
time and is sure to be a highlight of the festival.

British singer songwriter Nerina Pallot will also be joining the Sunday Main stage. She has toured the country many times as the support act to Sheryl Crow, Suzanne Vega and Joseph Arthur and will embark on a full headlining tour in May. |

Psycho-folk artist, Robyn Hitchcock will be joining
REM's Peter Buck and his side project, The Minus
3. The joining of these varying musical forces on the Cornbury
stage is sure to be one of the pinnacle moments of the weekend.

Busking brothers Si & Tyler are The Dualers performing a unique
blend of ska, soul and reggae that appeals to all ages selling over 35,000
copies of their first two cd's while busking on the streets alone.

wRants are back! Having opened Cornbury last year this amazing young band is ready to remove any preconceptions about folk music being boring, they call it ‘Folk music with attitude’, it is a glorious mix of folk, rock and occasionally reggae!

In July 2005, Good Dog celebrated the release of their
first full length album and second studio recording with a small (but packed)
gig in the back room of the Bell in Charlbury! They played at Cornbury Festival
in 2005, winning the national School Bands competition, and are happy to
return this year for a longer set! |

Souljacker are a hugely talented young band who generate an irrepressibly vibrant energy on-stage. Despite the oldest member being only 17, they have a mature and seductive sound which blends many influences, such as early 70's progressive rock, with a fresh and contemporary twist, to produce their own uniquely compelling music. |

Dave Oates, a familiar face to many, will be starting
the set with his unique brand of depressing songs!! However, it was suggested
that as the sun will be out, he should brighten things up a bit and will
therefore be joined by Dave Menday, organiser of the Finstock Acoustic
nights and renowned folk guitarist. |

Hayley Gene is emerging as a vibrant songwriter and solo artist.
Her solo music journey has carried her from various stages and coffee
houses across Canada. Hayley Gene's performances blend a variety of musical
genres combining strong melody and harmony with her poetic lyrical style. |

Lindy Vopnfjord's latest album, "Suspension of Disbelief"
is a complete work - a rare thing in a world where a "good"
CD requires only three or four decent songs. Each track on the album was
as carefully worked as a chapter in a book, and all are as essential in
forming the whole. |

The legendary Stannah and the Stairlifts have survived another
year with no deaths or major illnesses! The sharpest up-tempo blues rock
outfit in the area feature Pete Crowther (ex-Mr Big) on lead guitar and
pedal-pushers, Andy Hopkins on vocals, guitar, harp, and burgeoning combover,

Alt Country outfit The Epstein have been playing the dives and
bars of London and Oxford for some time now. Their stage sound is always
changing as the band bring in and out a team of guest musicians, from
the mariachi trumpet section to the honky tonk piano and mandolin. |
Performance Timings: Saturday | Sunday
The gates to the arena open at 10:00 am each day. The Oxford folk Festival Stage and the Riverside Stage will begin around midday with the Main Stage starting at 14:30 each day. The music will end at around 11pm on both days. Texas is due to take to the Main Stage at approximately 21:15 with The Pretenders immediately before.
The headline acts (i.e. last on) are always shown at the top of each stage line up section above with the running order working in reverse order down the page.
Sunday will begin with The Epstein on the Riverside Stage and wRants on the Oxford Folk Festival stage at around mid-day, then The Dualers will open the Main Stage show at 14:30. With the main stage artists performing for between 75 and 90 minutes each and a short interval for stage changes between artists this should help you gauge the approximate timings for the day. Timings for the artists on the other stages will vary.
Timings for the artists on the other stages will vary. However, in general Main and Second Stage artists alternate, with at most 15 minute overlap at the start or end of sets, but with the Riverside Stage running as well this year some tough choices will have to be made!
