With local acts and national treasures, the Cornbury Music Festival is dedicated to creating another year of great live performances sure to entertain you over the three day July weekend. Here’s what you can expect at this year’s festival:
Friday features Dublin duo Hudson Taylor, perfect pop stars The Feeling, American troubadour Suzanne Vega, ‘Mr Wendal’ creators Arrested Development, beautiful pop diva Sophie Ellis-Bextor, and national treasure Jools Holland with special guests Melanie C and Marc Almond.
Saturday includes festival favourite Jon Allen, American blues travellers Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band, chart topping Nina Nesbitt, Illinois rocker Lissie, New Jersey’s Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes, 60s icon Georgie Fame with Guy Barker’s 16 piece Big Band, Grammy Award winning country new girl Kacey Musgraves, pop hit makers Scouting for Girls and Scottish rock legends Simple Minds.
The festival continues on Sunday with fantastic X Factor 2013 winner Sam Bailey and finalist Luke Friend, zoot-suited Caribbean Kid Creole & The Coconuts, 70s rockers 10cc, ‘Kill Bill’ theme tune writer Tomoyasu Hotei, award winning blues guitarist Marcus Bonfanti, festival regulars Staxs featuring the fabulous Mica Paris, and Celtic fusion band Peatbog Faeries. Sunday’s headliner is the unique Gipsy Kings who make their first visit to the festival as part of their 25th Anniversary Tour and their only UK appearance this summer.
