TRUCK NINE FESTIVAL - July 8th 2006

The much beloved Truck Festival will sponsor Saturday’s second stage.

Festival Organizer PC Rae had this to say about their involvement this year:
“We've had lots of promoters ask us about taking the Truck idea to other events, but this one is the first we've actually signed up to. It isn't anything complicated - just some Truck favourites on a stage in a field - but a great field it is.

Probably the only site I've been to that looks better has been Fuji Rock in Japan in fact. On our bill we have Truckers: Goldrush and Piney Gir's Country Roadshow, friends: Get Cape, Wear Cape, Fly and Fell City Girl, a new favourite we saw at SxSW: Aberfeldys.

The evening will then be rounded off with a very special guest after which we'll probably go and enjoy a glass of Pimms by the lake.”

Goldrush Goldrush fresh from the South by South West festival comes this US band with their new album Ozona. Probably the coolest band on tour in the UK this summer!
Piney Gir Piney Gir's Country Roadshow An experience in itself is how the Piney Gir's show is described. An eclectic mix of country music comes together in an exciting, foot stomping show!
Get Cape, Wear Cape, Fly Get Cape, Wear Cape, Fly not only a brilliant name but a high energy band able to thrill the biggest of audiences. New to Truck and sure to become a favourite.
Fell City Girl Fell City Girl after appearing at last year's Reading Festival Fell City Girl have had an incredibly successful year and an full tour schedule for 2006 taking in Cornbury.
Aberfeldys Aberfeldy were formed in May 2002 in Edinburgh, Scotland and have gone from strength to strength with their fresh new sound and were a big hit at the South by South West Festival. A fantatsic band to see at Cornbury this year.
